Ghostly Mirror (Untitled Mirror) (2003)

This interactive real-time application attempts to create spectral-like images that only occur when a viewer is moving in front of the installation's camera. Absence of movement is equated to invisibility. When a viewer is active, a series of particle generators are triggered, creating a quasi-figurative transformation of the viewer's image.

The application was coded in Processing, with additional Java code to provide full screen functionality.

An additional video and some writing about the work can be found at the e-zine Setpixel (will open in new window).
